Whickham School approached SCS in March of 2018 as they were about to lose their Network Manager and IT Technician. The school were worried that they would not be able to replace the staff quickly enough and would be left with no support.
We sent in our senior technical team to gather information from the Network Manager so that we would be able to provide support on a short term basis. Within 3 days, we had all the information we needed to be able to completely take over the ICT management of the school, and waited for the green light from the school.
We were able to take over management of the schools ICT with no disruption to service, updating all security to ensure the systems were fully managed and that SCS were in full control of all remote access into the school.
We placed one of our senior technical engineers on site and as a result were able to identify and implement system and process improvements in the first weeks of providing support.
Although initially we were contracted to provide support until the summer holidays, our engineers and service delivery team impressed so much that the school decided to sign with SCS for a further 1 year contract.
